In 2004 my husband was told I had just 40 minutes to live, with a subsequent diagnosis of a rare blood cancer. Since then – twenty years later – I have grabbed life by the horns and am determined to inspire and motivate others to do the same. When it comes to people ‘finding their UGH’, taking a leap of faith (daily) and the power of community, I aim to wake people up out of any somnambulate phase of life they might be in whether to a live audience or into a microphone.

I have delivered my unique speech ‘Don’t wait for your final 40 minutes’, based on my own experience, within the UK and globally to multiple groups, schools, businesses and events ranging from audience sizes of 30-800 people.

Would you be satisfied with your eulogy if it were read out today, instead of waiting for those final 40 minutes to be given to you? This was the topic of my TEDx Talk. The theme of ‘writing the life you want to live’ and not leaving that too late echoes throughout my many speaking engagements. I give keynotes, host interviews and events (with the likes of Hugh Brasher – London Marathon and Paul Sinton Hewitt - Founder parkrun), motivational talks in schools and businesses, and panel discussions (such as The National Running Show).

I have appeared on many podcasts as a guest including Jenni Falconer’s RunPod, and Outside & Active, among many others. I approach every professional appearance with fun, empathy and vibrancy.
